Psychiatric evaluation is the process of understanding your biological, psychological, and environmental contributions to your mental health struggles. It includes treatment recommendations.
After our evaluation, we will make recommendations that may include: change to current exercise, nutrition, substance use, or sleep. We may recommend laboratory monitoring and medications. These recommendations will be available to be implemented by your current treating provider if they choose.
After you request a consultation, you will be contacted by our staff to see if we are the right service for you.
Our service will include a lengthy intake with our Regiestered Nurse. This intake will include your medical history, medications, and family medical history. During that intake, screening tools will be used to support your evaluation. Then, you will meet with one of our providers, and the detailed psychiatric evaluation will include many questions to help clarify your symptoms, assess for safety, and direct our impression of your care.
Our providers will then meet to review your case, and a second meeting with your provider will occur where the impression is dicussed, and a treatment plan ic created together. This plan will then be written and sent to your primary care provider and you.
A follow up consultation will be available for your primary care provider to discuss your response to our treatment plan.
